  • 1/8/09 Installing a submersible sewage pump

    • First, secure a male adapter to the pump and attach about 3 to4 feet of 2" PVC pipe. Glue the PVC into the male adapter and let it stand to dry. Then, set the pump on the bottom of the pit and install the pit lid with the discharge pipe approximately 2 feet above the lid. Then, you can install the check valve in the system and finish running your discharge pipe to your sewer line. A vent line must also be installed if one is not already there.
